Moonphase Watches are usually elaborate timepieces with a complication that tracks the orbit of the Moon. They display the sunlit portion of the Moon as observed from the Earth at any point during the Lunar month. This is the time it takes for a full Lunar orbit and lasts a total of 29.5 Earth days. In other words, the rotation from a New Moon, when it's not visible, to a Full Moon and back again.
